I en tid med krige og ubeskrivelige menneskelige lidelser til følge i Ukraine, Syrien, Irak og Israel, med Ebola-epidemi i Afrika, MRSA og den eskalerende kobberforurening herhjemme, samt de seneste opdateringer om mystiske metan-eksplosioner i Sibirien og under den grønlandske indlandsis, samt efterretningerne om at vi, Jordens befolkning, allerede nu, har opbrugt klodens ressource-kvote for i år, kan det være svært ikke at forfalde til håbløshed. Jeg kontaktes da også dagligt af et stadigt stigende antal mennesker, der mere eller mindre har opgivet livet.

Til det er der kun én ting at sige: Det er NU, at vi er nødt til at rejse os, uanset graden af vor fortvivlelse. Og hvordan? Først og fremmest ved, gennem spirituel praksis, at genoprette kontakt til vort højere Selv. Kun gennem en sikker fundering i en åndelig praksis kan vi finde det nødvendige fokus til at finde løsninger på de problemer vi står overfor, både individuelt og kollektivt.

Kender man ikke en sådan praksis, kan man evt. finde inspiration i bogen ‘Lysets Lov’. Jeg mener, at det er vigtigt at en sådan praksis er så enkel, at den kan udfoldes uanset de ydre omstændigheder. Ti minutters stilhed er bedre end slet ingenting. Kan man finde en halv eller en hel time morgen og aften er man privilegeret. Kontemplation i naturen, eftertænksomhed i skoven, opmærksomhedstræning og ikke mindst praksis af positiv udveksling med andre i det daglige er ligeså effektivt.

Hvad kan jeg selv gøre for at påvirke verden? Mit forbrug, mine vaner, mine stivnede holdninger, mine begrænsninger, alt sammen er noget jeg kan forandre. Alle steder kan jeg praktisere altruistisk og godgørende arbejde, alle steder kan jeg opløse spænding og krise med et åbent hjerte, et smil og en givende hånd. Ja faktisk er der ingen grænser for, hvad jeg kan være med til at forandre gennem en hjertelig og imødekommende adfærd.

Betyder det at jeg skal lukke øjnene når jeg bliver bevidst om eller møder misbrug, lovbrud eller ondskab på min vej? Nej. Alle de steder, hvor mennesker vil tiltuske sig magt over andre gennem skjult eller åbenlyst misbrug eller vold, må jeg sige fra. Jeg vil bede for de involverede, men jeg kan ikke stiltidende acceptere at de kosmiske love brydes. Forholder jeg mig tavs eller passiv er jeg medskyldig. Bevidsthed forpligter.

Ingen af os kan redde hele verden alene. Men jeg tror på at vi hver især, gennem det lidt vi kan, er i stand til at gøre en stor forskel sammen. Alle har vi noget at bidrage med. Og det er det, vi bliver kaldet til at bidrage med NU!

For at kunne stå og at kunne agere i kaos, må man kunne holde hovedet koldt og hjertet varmt.
