HOLSTEBRO, Denmark, film screening and q&a

The power of human connection. As hundreds of people are left in critical condition on the streets of London during the Covid-19 pandemic, a group of passionate volunteers spring into action.

“This film gives us hope. It shows the way forward. By saving others, we save ourselves.”
Elizabeth McGovern (Downton Abbey)

On 23 March 2020, London went from bustling metropolis to ghost town in one day. The population had been ordered to stay home. Everything stopped and everyone disappeared. Everyone except for society’s most vulnerable group: the homeless. This film gives a voice to the people who were left behind at the worst possible time in Europe’s largest city. After witnessing the desperate situation on the streets, the small group Under One Sky, led by Dane Mikkel Juel Iversen, started a daily relief effort. Within weeks, the group had grown from a handful of dedicated individuals to hundreds of Londoners taking to the streets daily to help “the forgotten”. I’m Still Here shows what we can achieve through unity, compassion and community spirit.

This is a special screening of the documentary followed by a Q&A between writer/musician Lars Muhl and Under One Sky founder Mikkel Juel Iversen.
All proceeds from the documentary will be donated to Under One Sky.

“In March 2020 citizens around the world were ordered to stay at home. For those with no home to go to an already desperate situation quickly became life threatening everything and everyone had gone.I’M STILL HERE is a film made to give people on the streets a voice.  Through the efforts of an emerging outreach organisation Under One Sky the film reveals the power of human connection and what can be achieved through community and compassion. A reminder that at the heart of humanity lies hope.”
