In the last two weekends I have been visiting the Netherlands. First with a lecture and a workshop in Amsterdam, and this weekend with a talk in this amazing edifice, Radio Kootwijk, where I was invited to make a speech at a large spiritual science gathering. One might be led to believe that the building is a church, but in reality it is a former radio station, built immediately after World War I. The architect, Julius Maria Luthmann, was deeply preoccupied with Egyptian architecture, which for example can be seen on the two Hathor-like figures adorning the entrance. Today, the building is listed, and is only rarely used. It is located in one of the few nature reserves in the Netherlands.
Last Sunday I was invited to Embassy of the Free Mind in Amsterdam, a completely unique place created by Joose and Rachel over a period of 50 years. Joose was initiated as a relatively young man on Montségur by the legendary Antoine Gadal (1877-1962). Joose has compiled the most extensive library in the world, consisting of so-called Hermetica, 25,000 original manuscripts, a large part of which is only available in one copy. These are original works by for example the German mystic Jacob Böhme (1575-1624) and all the great alchemists and mystics of the Renaissance, Kabbalistic, Gnostic and esoteric works of all kinds.
Embassy of the Free Mind is housed in a listed and beautifully restored building from the 17th century and is known as the House with the Heads, as the facade is decorated with six heads, representing the Roman gods: Apollo, Ceres, Mercury, Menerva, Bacchus and Diana. The house was designed by the architect Hendrick de Keyser in 1622.
It turned out that Rachel was well versed in the history of the Grail, and that she possessed the origins of the ancient Jewish prophecy that foretold that the Messiah would marry the Silver Cup from the tribe of Benyamin. She did not know about the prophecy, but could tell that it had to spring from the Old Testament story of Joseph and his brother Benyamin. In addition to the prophecy, I could tell that the Silver Cup was in all probability Mary the Magdalene.
Should you ever visit Amsterdam, then I can only recommend that you spend a few hours at Embassy of the Free Mind in Keizergracht 123, 1015 CJ Amsterdam.
