En dag fik Niels Bohr besøg af en studerende. Denne så meget undrende ud, da han så, at Bohr havde en hestesko hængende over sin dør.

– Undskyld professor, men tror De på hestesko?

Bohr smilede og svarede:

– Nej, egentlig ikke, men jeg har ladet mig fortælle at de virker, selvom man ikke tror på dem.

Over indgangen til Carl Gustav Jungs hjem stod skrevet: Kaldet eller ikke kaldet, Gud vil være tilstede.

Ovennævnte udsagn fortæller os, at to af tidens største videnskabsmænd og mystikere besad en virkelighedsopfattelse, der indebar en usynlig side, en guddommelig kraft, der uanset om mennesket er klar over det eller ej, spiller en vigtig rolle i, eller er forudsætningen for menneskets liv.

Uanset om man har brug for at sætte Gud på formel eller ej, så har den virkelighed, som Bohr og Jung forsøgte at indkredse i deres videnskabelige arbejde, været kendt gennem årtusinder af mystikere og indviede i de gamle Mysterieskoler.

I vor tid er det Kvantefysikerne, der forsøger at formulerer Gud eller de guddommelige kræfter, og som med nye begreber ønsker at indkredse og måle det evige.

Der er for mig ingen tvivl om at vi som mennesker, for at være i stand til at tage det næste store kvantespring, er nødt til bevidst at forholde os til denne af de gamle mysterier og de nye kvantefysikere omtalte kraft. Uanset begreber, om det er Einsteins Guds-formel, Holger Bech Nielsens ditto, Edwin Lazlos A-field eller de gamle mysterieskolers ærkeenglehieraki, er der tale om en kraft og energiform, som mennesket ikke mere kan komme udenom, med mindre det fortsat vil forblive i den primitive begrænsning, der er de flestes virkelighed i dag.

Hvad gør man?
Jung talte til og med energien. Nøjagtig som shamaner, indviede og mystikere før ham, har gjort det i årtusinder. De fleste andre mennesker siger om den usynlige virkelighed: Jeg kan ikke se noget, jeg kan ikke høre noget, så derfor eksisterer en sådan virkelighed ikke.

Men enhver samtale forudsætter at den påbegyndes af en af samtaleparterne. Og hvis vi forudsætter, at der er blevet talt til os i al den tid, vi har befundet os i dette liv, og at vi har undladt at svare, så er det klart, at sådan en samtale på et eller andet tidspunkt forstummer.

Derfor: Hvis man mener at man nu er klar til at indgå i sådan en dialog, er man nødt til selv at tage initiativet til den. Nøjagtig på samme måde som Jung. Hvis ikke man bruger sin intuition, bruger den heller ikke en.

Og hvergang man stiller et spørgsmål, må det efterfølges af tavshed, så det bliver muligt at lytte. En dag får man svar.

Da vil vi indse, at der ikke findes noget indre eller ydre rum, ikke noget op eller ned, men kun forskellige bevidsthedslag. Energien på disse bevidsthedslag er den samme, den svinger blot med forskellig hastighed.

Opløsningen af det begrænsede jeg-felt (det lille selv) med dets: Det er mit, og giv mig dat! bliver en mere og mere påtrængende nødvendighed. At kunne se ud over egen næsetip og det jeg, der udelukkende definerer sig gennem kroppen og dens ydre grænser, er en grundlæggene nødvendig holdningsændring, der må integreres nu.

Bevidsthed er som vand. Den er flydende, den føjer sig og overvinder, den fryser til is, tøer, fordamper og falder som regn. Bevidsthed er som dråben, der altid er i færd med at forene sig med evighedens hav.

Bevidsthed er som ild i sne.
